Alumni Recognition Award
Realizing that a Boston Trinity Academy education prepares students for future achievements both in college and beyond, we have established the Alumni Recognition Award.
Alumni who have made significant contributions in these areas are eligible for this award:

Nominations can be made by fellow alumni, former or present teachers, coaches, employers, parents, or personally. The following criteria must apply :

Five (5) years must have elapsed from the date of the nominee’s graduation.

The nominee must have demonstrated a good record while at Boston Trinity Academy.

The personal conduct of the nominee must be in accord with the ideals and standards of Boston Trinity Academy.
The Alumni Recognition Award is made each year to an alumnus or alumna who has demonstrated outstanding commitment not only to Boston Trinity Academy, but also to serving the broader community and our world through leadership and service in college and beyond.
This year’s 2025 recipient of the Alumni Recognition Award is Audrey Balan from the class of 2015.
Audrey Balan ’15 Wins the 2025 Alumni Recognition Award
Audrey’s journey at BTA began in 9th grade, and she quickly became an integral part of our community. By her senior year, she was actively involved in the chapel band and upper school choir, showcasing her passion for music. Her contributions to the arts were recognized with the Upper School Performing Arts Award, and she was honored with the Headmaster’s Award for her outstanding Christian character and performance in academics, the arts, and community life.
Her post-BTA achievements include graduating from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology, where she was a QuestBridge National Finalist and a dedicated mentor to fellow first-generation students, earning the Mentor of the Year Award from Emory’s Office of Student Success Programs and Services.
Audrey has worked at Silicon Valley Bank, overcoming initial challenges to excel in credit risk assessment and portfolio management, receiving recognition for her role in helping close a $700 million syndicated facility. Currently, she serves as an Associate in Impact Finance & Advisory at JP Morgan Chase, where she supports lending to Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) and invests in impact-focused funds like Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs).
Audrey is deeply committed to community engagement, serving as Co-Chair of the Associates Council for Let’s Get Ready, a national organization that supports first-generation college students.
Her dedication to empowering underserved communities is rooted in her personal experiences and her mother’s sacrifices, motivating her to give back and pay it forward.
