A Boston Trinity education is a gift to students and an investment in their futures. Students are not only prepared for college, they are shaped into informed and engaged individuals in a community where every student is known and loved.

Educating students from all backgrounds is central to the mission of Boston Trinity Academy.

In order to accomplish this, Boston Trinity provides more than $2 million in financial aid each year. Over 60% of our families receive some level of financial support.

We want more families to be able to give the gift of a Boston Trinity education to their children, and so invest meaningfully in who their children will become. We know the difference it can make.

This year, we are excited to introduce Pathways; an incentive program for students joining Boston Trinity Academy from public schools. Our goal is to help make the transition to private school easier for families who have never sent a child to private school.

Tuition

24-25 school year, for grades 6-12 is $29,250.

Although the cost of educating each student is over $35,000, tuition for the ‘24-25 academic year is set at $29,250 to ensure we remain accessible to more families. Additionally, more than 60% of our families receive financial aid and do not pay the full tuition. Financial Aid is based on need, and it is made possible by the generous support of donors to our Annual Trinity Fund.

Fees

The following fees are in addition to tuition:

New Student Fee (new students): $500
College Prep and Graduation Fee (11th & 12th grade): $225
AP Exams – $106 (Current Cost*)
PSAT Fee – $20 (Current Cost*)
Yearbook – $45-$55 (Current Cost*)
Tuition Refund Insurance: 2.1% of family contribution (Optional if payment is made in full)
Shuttle Bus Fee (Varies if service is used)

International Students:

For the 24-25 academic year, the tuition for international students is $39,250

New Student Fee: $1,000

(Fees include: Books, activities, labs, yearbook etc.)

(Fees do not include: Health Insurance)

Student Residence Fee: $25,000

Homestay (if necessary): $17,500*

All International Students will require health insurance unless covered by Agencies: $2,750/10 months*

Financial Aid

Boston Trinity Academy seeks to admit students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. To make this possible, we have a need-based financial aid policy. For the current school year, we awarded over $2 million in need-based aid.

As such, need-based aid is defined as the difference between what a family is able to pay and the cost to attend Boston Trinity Academy. We believe providing a quality education begins with the family and the students and families who have the most success are personally and financially invested in their children’s education.

Financial Aid by Household Income

Many factors determine whether or not a family will qualify for need-based aid. We consider such factors as household income and expenses, assets and debt, and other obligations or situations.

How to Apply for Financial Aid

At BTA, our deep commitment to diversity is rooted in providing economic access for families of all income levels. Like most private schools, we determine how much each tuition each family pays based on their financial circumstances.

Clarity offers a streamlined and user-friendly application that can take as few as twenty minutes to complete. It is mobile-friendly so you can complete your application on your phone or tablet! Your 1040 and W2 documents from the previous fiscal year will be transferred from the IRS when you complete the verification step, vastly reducing the time taken to complete the application.

Important Dates:

Returning families application deadline: December 15, 2024
New Families application deadline: January 31, 2025
Priority Applicants: Admission and financial aid decisions posted on March 10, 2025

Completing the Clarity Application online:

Go to the Clarity Portal or click the button below to fill out your application.
Create your Clarity account with your email address and a password.

Returning Families: Families must reapply for financial aid each school year because family finances and the availability of funds can change annually. The financial aid committee will review each subsequent application and make any appropriate adjustments to financial aid packages.

The process to reapply for financial aid is the same in subsequent years as for first-time applicants. See “Pathways” for more information.

Pathways

Many families attend public schools in the greater Boston area, and then find their educational home at Boston Trinity Academy.

Students coming to Boston Trinity from public schools are critical to the vibrancy of our community.

And Pathways, helps with the transition to a fee-paying school.

Who can benefit from Pathways?

Any applicant who has never attended a private elementary or middle school or who does not have a sibling in another fee-paying K-12 school may apply for the program.

First year, new Pathways students will receive a $5,000 credit, or are welcome to apply for financial aid.
Second year, Pathways students will receive a $2,500 credit or are welcome to apply for financial aid.
In subsequent years, Pathways families are welcome to apply for financial aid.

Payment Plans & Options

FACTS

FACTS Tuition Management

For your convenience, Boston Trinity Academy uses FACTS Tuition Management to collect tuition payments and other incidental charges. Payment methods include ACH, checks, and debit/credit cards. Families can pay online, over the phone, by mail, or with auto-debit.

Affordable Payment Plans

A non-refundable tuition deposit is required with enrollment or re-enrollment. The deposit is 10% of each student’s tuition balance for domestic students and 20% for international students. The deposit will be applied to tuition payments unless the student does not attend Boston Trinity.

Boston Trinity offers four payment plans to fit with each family’s needs:

Full Payment

Payment of the tuition balance must be paid by July 31.

Semester Payment

Payment of the tuition balance must be paid in 2 installments. Under this plan, 60% of the tuition balance (after deposit) must be paid on or before July 31, and 40% must be paid on or before November 30.

Monthly Payment

With our monthly payment plan, tuition is paid in equal installments over 10 months beginning in July and ending in April.

Bimonthly Payment

With our bimonthly payment plan, tuition is paid in equal installments over 10 months, with payments being made on the 5th and 20th of the month. Payments will begin on July 5th and end on April 20th.

Private Loans

Parents may obtain private K-12 education loans from outside lenders as long as the disbursements fall within Boston Trinity’s schedule of tuition payments. An example of an available loan program is Your Tuition Solution.

Returning families’ financial aid applications are due.

January 31, 2025

Prospective student’s admission and financial aid deadline. All supporting documents must be submitted to Clarity.

February 15, 2025

Returning families’ enrollment contracts released.

March 10, 2025

Returning families’ contracts and deposits due.
Admission Decisions released (Financial aid decisions are emailed with admissions decisions on March 10.)

April 10, 2025

New student’s enrollment deposits are due.
