Thank you for helping to raise scholarships during our annual Giving Day on Tuesday, April 29!

 

Your role is vital to ensuring that we provide over $2 million of scholarships to over 60% of our students. You can make it possible for all our students, regardless of their financial means, to receive a life-changing Christian education.

How to Advocate for Giving Day

You can help in two easy steps:

  1. Make a gift at bostontrinity.org/givingday.

  2. On Giving Day, encourage your friends, family, colleagues, classmates, etc. to join you making a gift by email, text, and/or social media. (Samples below.)

 

Go the Extra Mile!

 

There are two ways you can earn extra credit (who doesn’t want extra credit?):

  1. Instead of making a gift, consider making a matching gift! (See below for more details.)

  2. Create a one-minute personal plea video that you can post on the campaign page. You’ll receive a link that you can use in your email, text, and/or social media that directs people to your video along with a giving button. (See below for more details.)

MATCHING GIFTS

 

One of the best ways to encourage giving is by offering a matching gift. Matching gifts are when a donation is matched dollar for dollar by a matching donor(s) up to a certain amount. Supporters appreciate having their impact doubled and are motivated to not leave any potential funds on the table.

 

If you’d like to set up a matching gift with your credit card, please go the Advocates section of the campaign page here. (You’ll first need to create an account with GiveCampus.com.)

If you’d like to make a matching gift, but prefer to set it up with cash, check, stock, or a donor advised fund, please contact development@bostontrinity.org and we can set it up on the back end of the system. 

 

Make sure you let everyone know about your matching gift in your email, text, and/or social media posts!

PLEA VIDEOS

 

Plea videos are short videos asking others to join you in making a gift. They are important because they have been shown to increase response rates. They work especially well for alumni who want to encourage their classmates. 

 

Key Points:

 

  • Shorter is best. Keep it to 1-2 minutes.

  • Do it landscape orientation (horizontal).

  • Create an account with GiveCampus.com if you don’t have one already.

  • Upload your video in the Advocates Section of the campaign page here.

  • Once approved, you’ll receive a link that you can use in your email, text, and/or social media that directs people to your video along with a giving button.
