Board of Reference

The Board of Reference consists of former Trustees and friends of Boston Trinity Academy whose support and counsel are important to the advancement of the mission of the school.

 

JOHN M. ENSOR, M.DIV.
 VP for Mission Advancement, Heartbeat International

John Ensor served as a Founding Trustee and was a catalyst in the creation of the school.  As the chair of the Facilities Committee, John Ensor was pivotal in the lease of Boston Trinity’s initial site in Brookline and the purchase of the current campus in Boston.

CHARLES L. GLENN, ED.D., PH.D. 
Professor, Boston University

Charles Glenn served as a Founding Trustee and Boston Trinity parent.  As a professor of education and expert in urban education, his leadership in the initial shaping of the curriculum and the program of the school was critical.

GORDON HUGENBERGER, M.DIV., PH.D. 
Senior Pastor, Park Street Church, Boston, MA

Gordon Hugenberger served as a Founding Trustee of Boston Trinity as well as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees from its inception through 2010. His daughter, Esther, was one of Boston Trinity’s first graduates in 2006.

TONY JARVIS, M.A., S.T.B
Headmaster Emeritus, The Roxbury Latin School

Tony Jarvis has been a friend of Boston Trinity since its inception by giving support and advice from knowledge he has gained in his nearly fifty years as a preeminent educator.  From 1974-2004, he served as Headmaster of Roxbury Latin and led it to national prominence.

LINDSAY MCCABE, M.A.
Executive Director of Hendrickson Institute of Ethical Leadership, Saint Mary's University of Minnesota

Lindsay McCabe served as trustee from 2005-2010.  His experience and knowledge in the field of education and leadership were particularly valuable in the founding of the Trinity Institute for Leadership & Social Justice.

ROBERTO S. MIRANDA, PH.D.
Senior Pastor, Congregación León de Judá, Boston, MA

As senior pastor of one of the leading Latino churches in the greater Boston area, Roberto Miranda's strong support for Boston Trinity Academy has been instrumental to its establishment and subsequent growth.  His younger daughter, Abigail, graduated from Boston Trinity Academy in 2007, and his elder daughter, Sonia, was a teacher at the school for two years more recently.

JEFFREY MITCHELL, B.A.
Head of Research, Global Asset Allocation, Fidelity Investments

Jeff Mitchell served as Trustee from 2004-2012.  His strong support of Boston Trinity Academy during this period as well as his financial experience and acumen were valuable in ensuring the school had a sound financial footing in its early years.

 

TIMOTHY P. WIENS, ED.D. 
Assistant Professor, Wheaton College (Illinois)

Tim Wiens served as Headmaster of Boston Trinity Academy from 2003 through 2010. Under his leadership, Boston Trinity grew from 50 students to a 6th through 12th grade college-prep school of 225 students. In 2006, Tim launched a Capital Campaign which enabled Boston Trinity to move to its current five-acre campus in Hyde Park. He and his wife, Katie, dedicated seven years of their lives to the creation of a Christian prep school of academic rigor and with a heart for Boston's richly diverse communities.
