Does Boston Trinity accept applications for all grades?

 Answer Although Boston Trinity Academy accepts applications for students in Grades 6 through 12, most students enter in Grades 6, 7, or 9.

How many students does Boston Trinity accept each year?

 Answer The number of students accepted depends on the number of openings in each class, the quality of the candidates, and the mix of boys and girls. BTA tries to maintain a 50/50 ratio of boys to girls at every grade level.

What entrance exams are required for admission?

 Answer

Applicants must take either the SSAT or the ISEE exam to be considered for admission. For test dates and locations for the ISEE exam, consult the ERB Website. For the SSAT, www.ssat.org.

What is the minimum SSAT or ISEE score required for acceptance?

 Answer Boston Trinity does not have a minimum score for admission. Each candidate is evaluated based on their complete application package and the interview. Students are also evaluated based on their demonstrated passion for learning and desire to develop to their full potential.

When should I schedule my child’s interview?

 Answer Interviews can be scheduled once the online application is completed and the application fee has been received. Interviews are scheduled during the school day and are generally 1 ½ hours in length. Students will be given a short apptitude test, and asked to answer a brief essay question. Student with completed applications can request to spend a day at Boston Trinity Academy,  or visit a class. If possible, the interview should be scheduled when both parents are able to attend.

Is there an application fee?

 Answer The application fee is $50 for domestic applicants and $250 for international applicants.

What is the deadline for application?

 Answer The deadline for an application for Fall, 2013 is January 31, 2013. Students who are applying for second semester (January) entry must submit their completed application by November 15, 2012. When space is available, applications received after deadline will be considered on a rolling admission basis. Rolling admission decisions are usually made within two weeks of the completion of the application process.

When will I know if my child has been accepted?

 Answer Letters of decision are mailed on March 8, 2013 and emailed on March 9, 2013. Students applying for January intake will be notified by December 3, 2012. Rolling admission applicants will receive their decisions as soon as two weeks after their completed application has been reviewed.

If my child is accepted, when must I notify Boston Trinity Academy?

  Signed registration agreements and a non-refundable deposit - $500  for domestic students and $2,500 for international students -  are due April 10, 2013.

What if my child is waitlisted?

 Answer Waitlisted applicants will be notified as openings arise on or after April 10, 2013.

If my child is not accepted, can we apply again?

 Answer If a student has been denied acceptance, you are welcome to submit a new, complete application for the next academic year. A student’s academic progress will be taken into consideration when re-evaluating the application.

Who qualifies for scholarship assistance?

 Answer Scholarships are awarded on a financial needs basis only. Parents of candidates must complete a PFS (Parent Financial Statement) online at http://sss.nais.org/parents/. The PFS must be completed by February 15, 2013. Supporting materials (1040 forms, schedule C, and all W2 forms) must be received by February 15.
